Can a felon live in the same house a child when there is a custody case involved?

My daughters fathers brother just got out of jail and I am very nervous that he is living there. I am not comfortable with him being around when she is over there for her visits. This guy is a violent offender and he has multiple restraining orders on him. It is a somewhat crazy situation because my sister has a daughter with this guy and she and her daughter have restraining orders on him as well. His record includes assault with a deadly weapon, intent to do bodily harm, violation of restraining orders destruction of personal property and things like that. I fear there is nothing I can do about him living there and being around my daughter. I tried to bring this up in my original custody case but they would not address it because he was still incarcerated at the time. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
