If Police search you, does this affect your way to Law Enforcement (FBI) career?

I am thinking about getting a bulletproof vest for my second year of high school and my parents agree. But if a police officer catches me with one, and I know they are legal unless you commit a crime with it or you are a convicted felon. But if they question me and search me, does this affect my ability to go to be an FBI Special Agent?
