If you take the PSAT test when your in middle school, does it mean you're smart?

I'm gonna be in 7th grade and on the last day of school the teacher's pet started bragging and said "I'm gonna take the PSAT when I'm in 7th grade". And I'm smart too, I've always been one of the top 3 students in my school and I wanna go to Yale and so I'm wondering if taking the PSAT when your in middle school means you're smart.
