Violation of probation in California?
Okay, so I have a friend that is on felony probation for 3 years. Just yesterday he got locked up because his probation officer said he has a recording of him talking to a known felon that was in county at the time and they are not suppose to have any contact together. His P.O. is very mean and he says he is going to give him 120 days. Can he get that much time or how much time do you think he will get? Also, how many hours does his P.O. have to set him a court date? He got arrested just yesterday and they told me they have 72 hours to give him a court date. I called today and they said there was still no charges on him so there is no court date for tomorrow which is a friday. What does that mean? Is it possible that he will be released soon. Please help! Thanks!
